Lewis Stockwell, ‘Remembrance’, Trench Footnotes [Journal of the Hertfordshire Constabulary Great War Society], (December 2011), pp. 14 -17 N/B. Please note that the numeracy in this article. It is incorrect. The Imperial sums are correct but the decimalised sums are not. The National Archive sum comes from a year that their money convertor does not have. This some is not wrong as such, but as an average taken from the years 1920-1925 the memorial would have cost £44, 438.17 taking into account financial climate and such like. Thank you, Lewis Stockwell
